“Kate Sisson has been a member of the Rochester General Surgery team since 2012. She earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University in 2010 and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Grand Valley State University in 2007. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
As a Physician Assistant (PA), Kate is licensed to practice medicine under the supervision of the physicians at Rochester General Surgery. She conducts physical exams, counsels patients, diagnoses and treats illnesses, orders and interprets tests, performs routine procedures, and writes prescriptions. In the operating room she works as the first assistant to the surgeon during surgery.
Kate lives in Metro Detroit with her husband Mark and their two cats. She enjoys exercising, nutrition, cooking, and traveling to new places.”
Kate has spent her entire career working in surgery and derives great satisfaction from the positive impact it has on her patients’ lives. She enjoys working with her colleagues at Rochester General Surgery to help patients solve the health challenges they face.
